Empowering the Future with IoT

Project Objectives:

  • To establish an Internet of Things Centre of Excellence at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women
  • To train female students in the Internet of Things (IoT) through a blended mode

Project History:

  • TSSC successfully established a Centre of Excellence in the Internet of Things at the Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women in FY 23-24, with financial support from Vodafone Idea Foundation to upskill female students and empower them with the latest skills in telecom technologies. The university candidates were mobilized and enrolled in this training. Members of the Department of Telecommunications, Vodafone Idea Foundation, and Telecom Sector Skill Council felicitated the first batch

  • The project has been renewed for FY 24-25.

Success Stories – Impact of CSR

  • "Before entering the engineering program, the telecom sector seemed like a maze of cables and towers. But the eye-opening IoT course transformed that confusion into crystal-clear possibilities. It wasn't just about circuits anymore but smart cities, wearables, and revolutionizing entire industries. Guest lectures brought the reality of India's booming telecom scene to life, igniting a passion for innovation." – Sakshi

  • "As a coding enthusiast, the hands-on nature of the IoT course was pure magic. Building smart homes, simulating traffic systems, and analyzing sensor data – it was like code coming alive, impacting lives in tangible ways. The course shattered the myth of the telecom sector being just about towers and calls. It unveiled a world of intelligent networks powering everything from healthcare to e-commerce. Now, the focus is on rural areas, using newfound IoT knowledge to develop sustainable and secure solutions that bridge the digital divide". – Anamika

  • "Engineering mechanics was my forte, but the IoT course unlocked a hidden dimension. Sensors, actuators, and data communication wove their magic, transforming even familiar mechanical systems. Smart grids, connected vehicles, and industrial automation – the world of possibilities seemed endless. Now, collaborating with a startup applying IoT to optimize telecom infrastructure feels like the perfect blend. It's a thrilling journey to build efficient and reliable solutions for a smarter tomorrow". – Meghna
